"The work began in 2003, and together with a leading private research and polling company in China"
I dont trust a "polling company" IN CHINA
They are highly satisfied with the central government and more unsatisfied with the local government according to the study. The US is the reverse: High local approval ratings, low national approval ratings.

interesting dynamic if truly the case there and here
I wonder why surveys of people who live under a dictatorship say that the people like the dictatorship.. isn’t it funny how it always works out like that?

I edited my post, but that one sentence brings everything down for me. I cant trust a china report from china.
but you’ll trust an assessment on the US from US press and the government

same thing w brainwashed amerrittards
the whole climate point thing is that socialism/communism can respond to the climate crisis in a sufficient manner because profit is not the end goal.
capitalism can never do this, because in order to respond at the appropriate scale, you cannot have this endless growth inherent to capitalism.
Is there any evidence to this being the case other than it just being a convenient talking point? Do you believe that China or the Soviet Union before it had any real concern for the environment? The Soviet Union had chernobyl and the aral sea, two unbelievable environmental disasters that were caused by mismanagement, China is a massive polluter, where is the evidence that any of these people are actually doing anything? And I could just as soon point out that many companies are looking to discover ways to be energy efficient and develop new energy tech. Wind and solar are becoming major sources of energy

Could you please go ahead and inform us what the popular consensus was on climate change at the time of soviet industrialization.

Lmao i see so the soviet union doesnt need to take responsibility for pollution because nobody knew that pollution was bad until the year 2000

Oh no, exxon mobile knew decades ago.
But, here you are, as you clowns love to do, misrepresenting the argument. I said "communism can respond to the climate crisis, capitalism cannot"
So once again, tell me, what was the extent of knowledge on human fueled climate change during the time of the soviet union? please, tell me how they should have responded to a crisis that was not yet apparent.

How is this misrepresenting your argument? I am pointing out that nothing the Soviet Union or China, the two major communist governments, have done provides any evidence that they would take the necessary steps to stop climate change. Are you seriously arguing that the USSR isnt responsible for the pollution and environmental disasters it caused because we are now more aware of climate change in the 21st century? The Soviet Union was burning coal and oil for decades! The decades during which climate change was happening! What do you mean they didn't know?
Capitalism can't respond to climate change because it's an inherently self serving system that will seek to achieve its own ends when self sacrifice is the only way forward.
Whether or not individual communist countries failed in the past, it doesn't change the reality that, by definition, we can't do what needs to be done to save the planet when the bottom line is the monetary success of the individual and corporations-as-individuals.
Joe Biden: "I got hairy legs that turn blonde in the sun. The kids used to come up and reach in the pool & rub my leg down so it was straight & watch the hair come back up again. So I learned about roaches, I learned about kids jumping on my lap, and I love kids jumping on my lap...”
