One of my favorite things about Cole and Kendrick, and even Hov, is I felt like they grew up with me content-wise instead of doing the same s*** over and over. Idc how pretentious that sounds it’s my truth. Growing up sucks when it comes to rap.

I see what you’re saying but I think a mix of both is good and it depends on the delivery more than the content. Drake has great braggadocious songs, this not being one of them. There’s times his stuff feels immature and regressive of his previous stuff but he also knows how to make that dope introspective/luxury s*** too.
If a Hov or Cole made a song like this, mfs would clown it.
