Sick of these KTT1 holdovers who don't even like rap and only want to talk about white woman pop music and a very narrow slice of hip hop from last decade
At the time I thought he already peaked so I wasn’t able to fully appreciate that era in his career
But he was in a much better state than I remembered, damn it’s crazy

Nah he was doing f*** s*** then too
Just wasn't as bad in comparison to his absolute worstbut was still bad in of itself, he was literally ratcheting up the ante every two years since yeezus with the Confederate flag and interview meltdowns s*** which then led into the slavery and maga s*** and so on and so on
But the Wyoming era is when Kanye started to be the Kanye we know today tho, imo

Watch the breakfast club interview in 2016
The boy was so chill and embracing the legendary era he was entering in

Slavery and Maga s*** happened after this moment
He was doing wild stuff but nothing too bad tbh
It wasn’t until that twitter rant going at wiz and amber that he really turned heel and everything went downhill from there
The Donda era of 2021 to early 2022 was the closest we got to this level. And he sabotaged it later that same year.
Unpopular opinion but I even think Ye was alright during the 2018-2019 era too minus the MAGA s***.
Ye and JIK were his first non-good albums but they had soul and introspection in them. The Wyoming era was full of good music as a whole and the JIK era had the Sunday Service performances and a very positive vibe overall.
Like Cudi said, late 2022 and onward Ye is like a totally different dude. Even his music, despite having some dope songs here and there, sounds more soulless and lazy. Like the introspection and perfectionism is no longer there.
2020-2022 run was insane
if he kept that momentum a loooooooot of culture would be very very different and we were going to eat like never before
