KTT User Spotlight #1: Doot, Resident Heckler

The following is my interview with KTT2's trickster enigma, Doot. You might recognize Doot as the Candyman-like figure who appears should anyone say "Kendrick Lamar" three times. He's quick witted and impenetrable (:dash:) with an iconic Beatlemania avatar, but what's beneath the surface? What makes Doot- Doot? Let's find out together.

1. So Doot, we all know you as Papi's #1 angel, and you're reportedly a Barb as well. Do any other artists belong on Doot Rushmore?

My top 4 artists ever in no order are Drake, Ye, Lil Wayne, and Future. Drake makes you cry. Ye makes you think. Lil Wayne makes you laugh. Future makes you offer backshots to every MILF in a 5 mile radius.

2. Solid roster and vivid commentary. I expected nothing less. Was this lineup cemented in your formative years? Was rap always your core genre? Do you even like The Beatles?

Thank you. Listening to each is pure euphoria — almost like a small hit of black tar heroin on a sunny afternoon if you understand.

Drake, Ye, and Wayne have always been cemented, however, as a young, middle class Caucasian male, I went through an unfortunate Eminem phase. Even though I loved Wayne, I shamelessly would laugh at the “Lil Wayne would be working at McDonalds if Eminem dropped a new album”. Luckily I grew out of that phase, but many such cacs do not.

I’d say rap has always been my top, though lately I’ve really been enjoying house and dance music alongside it, along with some disco/soul from the 70s. Really no limit to what I enjoy. However, I despise K-Pop and Country aside from Kacey Musgraves. I enjoy some Beatles tunes. But for the most part, their music is severely overrated.

3. We can all agree that Eminem's sobriety is unfortunate. With music squared away, let's talk about comedy. We might not see eye to eye on certain issues, 288k of them come to mind, but you regularly farm likes and elicit laughter with your writerly voice. What makes Doot chuckle?

Hard to pin down what exactly makes me laugh, but as you can tell, I enjoy saying things for reactions even though I might not necessarily agree with it. I love Dave Chappelle. I met him a few months ago. I despise the Matt Rife type of “comedians” and most stand ups. I’d say it takes a lot to make me laugh but at the same time not. People like Zack from the Six, magenta, kev, Danny, p**** bacon, Stank, mr get dough, big dog giovanni, viet, and Quadra always make me laugh on here. Napst, The Instructor, Q3D, Tubig… too many to name, but they always make me laugh. It’s what makes this place great. Most Kendrick stans are horribly unfunny, I fear.

4. So is Doot a character to you? Perhaps Doot is just a mode for communicating actual animus. Your biting tirades are so impassioned. How much of that is real?

I’d say it’s 75% real, 25% performative Joker type showmanship. DOOT actually stands for Doing Only Outstanding Things. When I go on impassioned rants, however, it is typically genuine. The delivery becomes hyperbolized in a manner to which I know I will cause neural activations to fellow users.

Is BAMSKI_backshots a different side of you?

bamski_backshots is less of a username, more of a statement. We know of the alleged “Papiconda” and the adventures that come with it. I want to let people know that it’s real, it’s up (pause), and this is what it is. We giving backshots out all 2024. Whether the dootski or the bamski, they coming.

Thank you for the exquisite questions my friend. I don’t have much to say really other than my prophecies regarding Midrick Midmar seemingly always come true so maybe people should start listening. Lately, I’ve been enjoying some Kool & the Gang. “Summer Madness” with a fake fireplace playing on the AppleTV, a cup of scotch, and my Philips Hue lights dimmed to Christmas colors have become a nightly routine. I pray the holidays are happy and healthy for all of my KTT2 family and you get joy and kinsmanship with whatever you are celebrating. WHO WANT BACKSHOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
