Whether it’s time, money, conversation, or through a middleman (in the form of an app or a pimp or etc.) there is some transaction that is involved in the exchange of some gender neutral cheeks.
I guess what is totally lost on me is making that exchange of love, intimacy etc equated to exchanging money. they are not the same type of transactional value at all in my eyes

There are studies showing that in highly marginalised street based populations 80 to 90% say they want to leave s***work but don’t see survival alternatives
Other research especially with indoor / brothel / online workers finds many people say they chose s***work as their best or least-bad option, even though that choice is shaped by poverty, gender inequality and limited opportunities
Those get cited to say most s***workers aren’t there by choice, but they don’t represent all forms of s***work. They don't represent the form of s***work this thread is about
This line of reasoning isn’t being attacked, it’s just wrong place wrong time and the rhetoric is too heavy (“all s***work is coercion,” “all men who buy s***are misogynists”)
