Are you buying Recruiter Lite or something

Maybe I didn't see correctly, but I just followed some link that was like "TRY LINKED IN PREMIUM FREE FOR A MONTH!"

then I was like how much that s*** cost anyways? "AFTER ONE MONTH YOU WILL BE CHARGED $119.99/ MONTH"

@op what u using it for?

Looking for AWS Cloud jobs, or anything to get me started. I already have AWS cloud XP, but my area is horrible for tech. Basically a tech job desert almost.

Career search package is usually $40. It shouldn’t be 120

Highly useful in competitive/impacted job fields that require networking and personal references to be top of the list

  • Linkedin is corporate data collection. You don't need LinkedIn to get a good job. You don't even need education anymore. Experience and who you know matters more than anything nowadays. If you're having trouble finding a job look into internships or apprenticeships. That will yield way more results for your future than whatever degree you have or what's on your linkedin

I mean i'll just have to take your word for it i guess cause i have never used it and nobody i work with does either. But if you put it that way, i can definitely see some of the managers from vendors i use being on there cause they are all about throwing the fakest "networking" lunches/dinners for us where they are all putting on these really weird "hollywood" type personalities haha

Nah i just had a vision of a depraved timeline

Where folks kill their ops & then stick up the funeral to steal their ashes
Then they sprinkle their ops ashes in their blunts as disrespect and call it Cloud Pack

Or maybe they supply someone in their ops territory with the stuff & then unbeknownst to them, they're smoking their boys Cloud Pack

  • If you’re a veteran you get it free

As an early stage professional in a really tight job market (ecology) being able to directly contact important people and arrange to speak with them was super beneficial

It allowed me to make a personal difference and build a personality that leaves an impression on my contacts. It gives me a ton of flexibility if I need someone to give me a personal reference, learn about more opportunities, or even reach back out if I eventually want to switch gears in my career field
