A lot of Dems rightfully have one eye on November and are trying to give life to narratives that will be effective in the stretch run. Trump absolutely cannot stay in office.
At the same time, we shouldn't muddle the message and turn it into a needlessly inflammatory us vs Trump war because that's not the point. He's only a face of a larger problem.
I agree. I just see a lot of people focusing on Trump instead of the people who can actually cause change.
Trump won't change. Dude's racist and a sadist.
The mayors, police chiefs, etc. are the people who are gonna make the change. And they're doing none of the sort because they don't want to acknowledge the problems in their own systems. If Democratic ares can't fix this s***, Republican areas are damn sure not going to.
Deray is a hack!

If COVID-19 taught us anything, it's that we need to take local government more seriously because our federal government can and will let us down. The president can straight up abandon whatever state he wants to. Who do you turn to then?

Preach
This model is already in place. Cops just don't follow it. Eric Garner died from an illegal chokehold and the killer is still free.
exactly
maybe this will reduce violence but thats only if cops were to actually do it and they won't because theres 0 accountability. it took 7 days of country wide riots for them to charge 3 cops who were actively complicit in a murder

You honestly think in a country with over 330,000,000 no body is going to be a victim?
Be realistic.

officers forming a line in front of us in charlotte
Stay safe
Lol they jumping through hoops just so they can't say he was murdered
I'm just a little weary. They are saying he had corona earlier in the year but also tested positive during the autopsy.
I do like that they upgraded the charge to 2nd degree murder but that means they're gonna have to prove he did it intentionally or while committing a felony. It's gonna be a difficult case.
I'm pretty sure I'm late but you guys hear about LA police commission announcing reform? That was quick as s***. Not sure about the details and if it's a step in the right direction though
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
#PalestinianLivesMatter too
I think 2 big thinks we need to do that might help our tremendously is,
1. Focus and research the people in our local government and how they operate.
2. Defund law enforcement and allocate that money to social programs and other areas that are defunded.
ngl scared asf we about to confront cops
stay safe
