I guess so. At the risk of sounding sexist or something I’m just not really into the whole “ass out, body freedom feminism!” wave in art and it comes off worse when it’s from someone who kind of made a career being the alternative to this stuff

Like I’m not saying Lorde shouldn’t do this, she can do what she wants but to me it’s all hollow and this brand of feminism is basically just taking us back to the early 2000s when selling s***was more prominent in women’s music. Now it’s just under the guise of progression. I might be diving too deep into Lorde’s ass but idk

You're welcome to your perspective. I'm trying to give Lorde the benefit of the doubt and approach the cover as a statement rather than a craven attempt to recast herself as a s***symbol in order to sell records. I do think the cover is saying something, and it's attractive, so to me it's a good cover.

Hopefully you’re right. But my mind goes to the video to accompany it and I don’t have a great feeling. We’ll see tho it should be good

The music descriptors are really interesting and aren't typically intertwined with brazen sexuality like you often saw during the 00s pop era you were describing (not a problem per se). I think it'll be great.
