should not get 30 minutes though if his shot isnt falling, but this is an example of a coaching trusting his vet over the younger guy in max. not gonna change, it is what it is
Max had 2 possessions where Shai scored on him and Ham said enough.
He basically has to play perfect every time he's on the court
Ham would rather just run Prince to the ground than give Max or Rui minutes.
Darvin Ham on the DLo/Reaves/Prince/LeBron/AD starting lineup:
"Wanted to put as much skill and shotmaking on the floor around our two captains as possible ... Those five have been our most consistent guys ... For the foreseeable future, that's going to be our lineup."
Darvin Ham told the Lakers he "was extremely proud of the way we moved onto the next play."
Ham said Jarred Vanaderbilt's "activity" was at the "forefront" of the Lakers' "total team effort." Vando had 3 steals in 18 minutes and was in passing lanes all game.
Darvin Ham on AD taking the blame for the Utah loss and having a big bounce-back performance tonight:
"His care factor is through the roof. AD cares about nothing but winning."
Austin Reaves on the starting lineup:
"This is the lineup that we started with this year and feel comfortable with... We like what we can do with this group."
Austin Reaves on the starting lineup:
"This is the lineup that we started with this year and feel comfortable with... We like what we can do with this group."
Austin Reaves added that competing and communicating defensively will be important for this lineup to have success.
D'Angelo Russell agreed that limiting miscommunications on defense is essential.
D'Angelo Russell on the importance of this homestand:
"These are huge games for us, they all matter. This was a huge win for us tonight and the next games coming up as well."
D’Angelo Russell was asked about Austin Reaves, sitting next to him, and said as Reaves laughed:
“I like him. I’m just a fan of him. I feel like I talk about this dude every time I do an interview... We golf together, I'm gonna get him on my podcast soon."”
Taurean Prince tonight:
3 points
1/6 FG
3 Assist
30 mins
it's sickening that Prince starts over RUI
NOOO IM GOING TONIGHT. I wanted to see Shai live but also have us pull out a W
was this you
was this you
saw this dude, guy looked drunk af from my vantage
was this you
i was almost in this video though
I think we promised Prince a starting spot for him to sign here. He prolly would have received over 10m a year if he didn't take a paycut. He's just older and play has regressed.

This is likely.
Cam was promised minutes as long as he played defense and later got inserted in the starting lineup so it looks like Ham has been keeping his promises.
Only reasonable explanation why Prince has never been removed from the starting lineup and gets alot of mins no matter how poor he plays.
It looks like he's happy about it too because he said in post game interview that this is the most wanted he ever felt by any team.
Only problem if this is true is that it may hurt the team like it did tonight.

yep
Wonder what a ad-wood-vando-bron-reaves lineup could do
great size, great rebounding, more than solid enough shooting, enough playmaking, and a good wing defender
funny enough, this lineup has been on the court only twice for 4 minutes
I like Prince and the shooting he provides for this team but this is a key reason why he should get less minutes even if he's starting.
The last 2 sequences in this vid could've cost us this game if Lakers didnt have such a huge lead.

https://twitter.com/Paradox_EP/status/1747147533921423522issue is hes being asked to guard elite players when he shouldve been guarding someone like Dort and thats gonna continue with this lineup
Christian Wood over his last 4 games:
12.3 PPG
7.5 RPG
1.8 BPG
55/43/100%
Lakers are 3-1 in the last 4 games he’s played in.
