Kenny lost the locker room at the end of his Nets tenure. Will history repeat itself if we hire him?
"According to Yahoo Sports' Vincent Goodwill, Atkinson struggled to mesh with the team's two biggest offseason acquisitions, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Goodwill's sources said the coach "wasn't fond of coaching Durant and Irving based on what he saw this season and would rather something happen now than at the end of the season."
SNY's Ian Begley and Corey Hersch provided a similar account. They didn't specifically name Irving but reported "some Nets players felt that Atkinson had lost a portion of the locker room recently."
Im getting mike brown vibes from him
Im tired of goofy coaches man i want an angry coach like malone or thibs or pop.
There's no current coaching candidate that meets that description sadly.
Calling JJ
His name is way to big for LA to turn down
Based on various sources and the way things are going right now, it looks like Lakers will hire JJ Redick.
The question is who will be his assistants if that happens.

And JJ’s first move…
Bring back Phil Handy, I wish.
Idk if I could sit through JJ coaching. Dude never won a title, what does he know about winning. He’s Lebrons boy tho. I’m over this Lebron era. It’s crazy that the Lakers do whatever he wants. Lakers are a world class organization and now just pander to an aging Lebron. People complained about the other Buss son, but Jeanie is worse with her decision making.
I understand how you feel about JJ but Lakers don't let Lebron just do whatever he wants.
Lebron didn't choose Vogel. If he had his way, it would've been Ty Lue.
Lebron didn't choose Ham.
This time, Rob is letting him and AD have more of a say and they respect JJ's basketball mind.
Nothing is set in stone yet.
Brandon Ingram might be a player to keep an eye on, Pels are expected to shop him.
I wouldn't be opposed if we traded Rui, Gabe, Hayes and Reddish (if they pick up their options) and a pick or two, if that works salary wise.
I'm pretty sure JJ Redicks 9 year old son won the championship in their league, so don't be too hard on JJ's coaching skills yet

He's too injury prone.

I'd honestly take CJ over him

Bronny James measurements at the NBA Draft Combine:
6'1.5" height without shoes
6'7.25" wingspan
8'2.5" standing reach
The Los Angeles Lakers do have interest in adding Bronny James to their roster, but they are not preparing to use their first round pick on him.
"I think if the Lakers have an opportunity to draft Bronny James, they will do so. Whether that's with the 55th pick, or if they make another deal around the draft where they pick up another pick, I think they will try. I don't think it is going to be their top priority. I don't think the league right now is looking at this like if you draft Bronny James and you can get LeBron."

With more athleticism and he'd be able to carve out a long career.

I'm intrigued just because he was projected to be a first-rounder before the heart s***. Those kind of players who slip down draft boards can easily end up a second round or undrafted steal

For the Lakers he'd be better as a second rounder, but personally be better off undrafted. I really like Bronny's defensive prowess and his game when he's locked in. He's like a GP2/The white nigga Donte/Avery Bradley but with better vision just inconsistent

Definitely would be ideal to sign him as an undrafted FA and be able to use the second rounder on another player.
