Getting Mitchell seems less and less likely

Lakers front office has mixed feelings when it comes to Trae

Hayes and Cam are going to most likely opt in

Good chance we run it back with the same team

"The future of D'Angelo Russell will play a central role in how active the Lakers will be in trade talks this offseason.

In this scenario, Russell opts-in to his $18.7 million contract or even takes less in his next contract, the Lakers are a possible first-apron team and are not allowed to take back more money in a trade.

That would mean a hypothetical Reaves-Hachimura and three first-round picks for Mitchell trade does not work.

A Russell sign-and-trade to Cleveland and Reaves, for example, also does not work because it would put the Lakers over the second apron.

Teams over the second apron are not allowed to aggregate contracts sent out in a trade.

If Russell does not return or they find a third team to take back his contract if he opts-in, the Lakers would be allowed to aggregate contracts sent out. The Lakers would then be allowed to trade Reaves, Hachimura and three first-round picks (2024, 2029 and 2031) for Mitchell."

Why would we keep D'Lo and Donovan?

    He should be packaged too

Edit: Read the rest and people that write in vague circles are infuriating to me

Cam is great as a third string wing. He'd make a long career for himself if he just worked on his spot up shooting.

Almost positive either Hayes (if he opts in) or Wood get traded, there's no way they run back the same big man rotation, ain't no way

This was the trade that was suppose to happen. Now we could gonna lose DLO for nothing.

"Many in the industry believe the Lakers would like to upgrade around James, Davis and Reaves. That probably means Russell ends up elsewhere"

I'd want to kms, that screams f*** offense and I loved Kris. His college teammate Bryce Cotton used to run rec in the gym I frequented and he's a good dude

But im all on board with CP3

Cam was actually okay until he got hurt. His defense was legit and he was hitting his jumper. If we getting a better coach and he brings energy with that defense and jumper, he could be a useful backup. I think he is more of a backup wing.

I think this should be our target

    espn.com/nba/player/_/id/4431680/onyeka-okongwu

Why: The Hawks are going Draft that French center at 1 and he is likely going be starting center. I would offer the 17th pick, Gabe Vincent, and a future 2nd.

    nbadraft.net/players/onyeka-okongwu

A defensive center who is only 23. This would solve a big hole at center with youth. Okongwu has flashed but sometimes it takes players a few years. He’s just hitting his prime and best basketball ahead of him. He fits with win now. He’s even from LA

    C - Okongwu
    F- AD
    F- Lebron
    G- Reaves
    G -
6th - Rui - Rui moves back into that 6th man of the year role.

    Other bench
    Bigs- Wood/ Hayes
    F- Vandy / Cam
    SG- Max

Then we look to flip DLO for a more athletic and quicker PG. It’s time to break up Reaves and DLo. Two guards who aren’t great at defense isn’t it. DLO has a loser mind set. He thinks he’s an all star when he should really be a 6th man Jamal Crawford type

They not getting rid of Okungwu, unless they'll get back Bron

  • May 25, 2024

    Screw it, I’ll do a mock off-season.

-Make that Atlanta trade for the center, #17 Vincent

-Trade DLO 2 2nd rounders for Jordan Clarkson

    • Hayes and Cam will opt in

    • bring back Max. Give him the clear role as backup SG

    • Sign Markelle Fultz to the MLE. He will get a starting spot. Magic going bring in a shooter to start next to Suggs

    • sign James Wiseman for the minimum

    2024 - 2025 Lakers
    C - OkongWu, Wiseman, Hayes
    PF- AD, Vandy, Wood
    SF- Lebron, Rui, Maxwell
    SG- Reaves, Christie, Cam
    PG- Fultz , Clarkson, JHS
