Def would prefer Hurley over JJ but once again, if Rob puts together a s*** ass roster then it won't make a difference. He, the head coach, ad and Bron need to be in sync with roster moves

Dan Hurley said this yesterday on the Mike Francesa Podcast:

“I do aspire one day, if the right NBA situation were to come along, to really testing myself…where an organization wants a tone setter to come in and instill a culture with young players and an organization that wants to pursue championships.”

Usually i'd be kind of worried about a college coach coming to the NBA but the fact that Hurley is an X's and O's coach and not just a NCAA recruiter is a very good sign.

Looks like a good motivator as well

Would be a perfect coach for the Lakers

    He's familiar with the fanbase

"A source tells FOX Sports that Hurley is "truly at a 50-50" in weighing his decision whether to make the leap up for LeBron James and the Lakers or stay in the college game and try to achieve something unthinkable in the modern era.

"He deals with things mentally where he's constantly seeking to prove what he can do," a source told FOX Sports.

UConn has an offer on the table that would make Hurley one of the highest paid college coaches. He’s already the 7th on that list.

Lakers has at least to offer $10+ million.

Feel like this is too good to be true and now Hurley will take Uconn's new contract with more money.

this offer you are speaking of, is on top of the offer he just signed after winning his second title, correct?

Our only saving grace I guess is that he keeps talking about how much he wants to prove himself and there is no better way to prove yourself than winning a championship with the Lakers

he just used the kentucky job as leverage. it would be weird for him to do it again imo but idk

Tbh, this the roster we most likely gonna have. I'd be cool with either coach, as long as we get off of Rui and D'Lo

Yeah I think unless we can pull off Mitchell, which seems like a long shot

    Lets just run it back

Yeah, I'd like Donovan if we were keeping Max, Taurean, Gabe, and Austin but anything involving a few of them is too much to lose

We desperately need that back up big and a strong 3 and D player if we can't swing it

this offer you are speaking of, is on top of the offer he just signed after winning his second title, correct?

He signed a 6 year deal worth 32.1 million that runs through March of 2029 after he won his first title.

But now UConn is prepared to offer him a more lucrative contract after he won his second title.

At the same time, Lakers are also prepared to offer a massive and long term contract.

Here what Hurley had to say about UConn's new offer.

"Hurley said Wednesday that "it's complicated, and it's taken more time (to get a deal done) than any of us would have liked. It's not something that's been a rush for me. You sacrifice a lot to do this job. The job beats your ass pretty good, and a lot suffers with your family. Any chance at a social life, it consumes everything you have."
