"Finney-Smith is the only player in the NBA this season to defend guards, forwards and centers each for at least 15 half-court matchups per game, according to Second Spectrum."

"With this trade, we are thrilled to add the physicality, toughness and elite shooting that Dorian Finney-Smith will bring to our core," Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka said in a statement. "We also greatly value the playmaking of Shake Milton. We are excited for our fans to get both of these players out on the court."
"Lakers coach JJ Redick has preached positional versatility and toughness in his roster -- attributes the franchise's addition should help with.
Los Angeles also creates salary and luxury tax flexibility, saving a total of $15 million and moving $3.5 million below the second apron. Finney-Smith has a $15.4 million player option for next season.
Redick and Finney-Smith were teammates with the Mavericks during the 2020-21 season."
"We want to thank D'Angelo for his second stint with us, where we celebrated some great moments and accomplishments on the court together," Pelinka said in a statement. "We want to wish him and Maxwell Lewis well in their future endeavors with the Brooklyn Nets."
My homie in LA said he's seen at least a 100 D'Lo jerseys since the trade was announced
The city miss him already
Was driving when the trade happened and was mad confused when @norolemodelz asked me how he should feel lol
Doe Doe a good player and Dlo f***ing sucks. Got him and Shake without using a FRP so I can't complain
DFS gonna be a great role player and to get him without giving up a first round pick is a steal imo
D’Lo a talented offensive player but his defense is too glaring of an issue to ignore

I was f***ing tired when I got here so I had read "Maxwell Lewis" as "Max Christie" and was slightly upset for a second. Give a f*** about a "Maxwell Lewis" this was a good move
wondering how long JJ puts DFS in the starting lineup
Rui is gonna feast off the bench and now Bron can have more time to rest

Not one bit, best of luck to him but he will not be remembered
There's like a bidding war for him right now now. Almost every contender wants him.
DFS was the next best thing.

According to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype, the Hornets are willing to trade Richards for at least two second-round draft picks—if starting center Mark Williams can get and stay healthy.
"Several executives around the league who spoke with HoopsHype believe it would take at least two second-round picks to pry Richards from Charlotte.
In the eyes of those executives, however, an asterisk to that equation is the health of starting center Mark Williams, who has yet to play this season."
Mark Williams has been pretty healthy this month so good chance Nick Richards is Laker by the trade deadline.
Lakers also had interest in him last summer. He's only making $5 million per year.
In 22 minutes, Nick Richards is averaging:
9.8 points
8.2 rebounds
1.2 block
