"The excitement level is high" -- JJ Redick on Luka Doncic's upcoming Lakers debut tonight against the Jazz

JJ Redick said Luka Doncic will be on a minutes restriction, per the Lakers’ medical staff, but did not specify a minutes total.

JJ Redick says the plan will be to “ease Luka back in” when it comes to workload, with recommendations from Dr. Leroy Sims and the medical staff.

Lakers starters vs. Jazz: Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James and Jaxson Hayes.

Redick said he has been considering starting Dorian Finney-Smith but he thinks Hachimura has been playing great and Finney-Smith’s impact isn’t affected by starting.

Cam Reddish remains away from the team to be with his family. Redick said Cam recently had a baby daughter.

Dalton Knecht will likely be out of the rotation tonight as he just got back to LA last night. But plan is for him to play Wednesday.

JJ Redick said he met with Dalton Knecht this morning and he understands he still needs time to process everything.

I mean as long as JJ gets DFS or Vando in early enough we should be fine

I dont love having zero plus defenders in the starting lineup tho
