no
after seeing KAT draw Wemby out in the perimeter, I think getting a stretch 5 will be important in the future
I'm not opposed to Lakers drafting Henri Veesaar anymore.
I'm also seeing people on twitter even suggest trying to package Vando + Knecht for Myles Turner
hopefully that's just his agent talking

thing is kat is the best shooting big man of all time and can drive closeouts. his gravity as a big is different than 99% of the league. i do agree we need a stretch big.
turner averaged less than 5 rpg during last year's playoff run in almost 30 mpg.. f*** no at that salary lol, hes not the solution
lol
the Knicks are showing the Spurs and Thunder can be beat
Spurs exposed the Thunder.... make life hard for SGA, and they don't have another scorer... Jalen Williams was out but he isn't this all world player. be physical with Chet and he is useless, hes built like a twig. don't fall for SGA flopping. that team is built off 3 point snipers.. so don't double SGA
Knicks showing the spurs are beatable - Wemby is all world defender, but still raw defender. he is still weak and skinny to abuse people in the post. he likes to drive in, or shoot jumpers. need bigs that are athletic that won't be abused off the dribble and can box out wemby. Knicks have 2 bigs who are athletic to keep wmeby in front of them in KAT AND ROBINSON. wemby will still score but can't let him dominant the game.. Dylan Harper might be a star but not there yet... fox is good but he isn't scary good. have some athletic guard defenders to make them work

what makes Kat great is he is unique, can shoot, has elite offensive skills, athletic, and can defender with elite size
there isn't that many bigs like that
Victor W, Greek Freak, Anthony Davis, Kat, Paolo, Lauri
the list is short... most bigs that can shoot , can't defend..

in that case, you try to get two bigs who can combine to do both, just like hartenstein and chet
Keon Ellis is on the way
https://twitter.com/ESPNCleveland/status/2063278711030337940A little over the minimum I'm expecting, 2 years 6-8 mill.
I hope the Lakers draft this kid

6'6 PG, great is pick and roll, can shoot lights out, can defend too. pro comps Haliburton / Ricky Rubio. I think he can be the backup PG with the potential to develop into a starter. Lakers could use another player that attacks the basket. I feel like he would get along with Luka

"One of a few names linked to the Lakers right now during the pre-draft process is Isaiah Evans, a 3-and-D wing who provides floor spacing and the occasional burst coming off screens as a finisher in the lane.
The Lakers are in need of shooters around Doncic and Austin Reaves, who is expected to re-sign with the team this offseason.
Evans stands about 6'6ā³ with a 6'8ā³ wingspan, making him the ideal type of wing for the Lakers to add for immediate two-way production.
He should have no problem thriving as a catch-and-shoot option with Luka Doncic creating space for him to operate on the perimeter, a role Los Angeles had hoped Dalton Knecht would thrive in."

His wingspan is closer to 6'9

I love Isaiah
I like him too. I wouldn't be mad if they picked him.
but the problem he's skinny and his defense isn't the best even though he improved recently. I don't think he'll be able to guard NBA wings anytime soon.
So will the Lakers actually take the time to let him develop even though we're in win now mode?
If the Lakers want the player that can make an immediate impact, they will go with Joshua Jefferson. He's also the type of pick Tony Bennet, Lakers draft advisor, would choose.
If the Lakers want to address their biggest need and add something new to the offense in a stretch 5, they will go with Henri Veesaar.
If the Lakers want to invest in a 3 & D prospect, then they will go with Isaiah Evans. JJ also already said he wants players that can shoot, pass, dribble and Isaiah fits that mold.
They can go in so many directions with this pick.

I hope we keep that pick and buy a top 10 pick in the top of the 2ndā¦.i see our depth
F- Rui, Theiro
F- Luka, Kennard
G- Smart, ?
G- Reaves,
I could see another 3/D wing who can play backup SG.. another playmaking guard for the bench unit. Or another centerā¦3 different directions we can go⦠Evans could slide into that backup SG spotā¦. Wouldnāt be mad at that⦠thereās a few interesting centers too
