You trying to get AD hurt? He can’t handle the banging all season long. Maybe a series but that’s about it. Need some muscle at center. Slide KCP to 2guard

Howard will probably get the start. When it comes down to the stetch, Kuzma will probably slide in somewhere.

You think Dwight takes the discount or did he play his way to the mid level exception.

If it came down to Dwight or rondo for mid level? Who you taking ... idk what’s goin happen with those 2

This deal actually helps us clear a little bit of salary. Rondo and KCP were both also candidates for us to sign under their bird rights where we go over the cap to retain them. This trade seals Rondo's fate, so his cap hold might as well be off the books too. We're still waiting to see on Avery Bradley, but say he's gone too, that's just more room to slide KCP back under the fold when we're the team that can offer him the most anyway.

Good point. If we could bring KCP back that'd be fantastic. Plus still a mid-level exception could bring a veteran still somewhat in his prime who wants to get a ring. (Danilo for example). I'd also want to bring back Dwight and Morris on friendly deals.

I’m not sure, I think the trade was supposed to be for Green and Kuzma

He was never on the table. Just a rumor a Celtics writer wanted to start.

Yup, no other way we can take on his deal. Green’s contract was the big salary cap ballast that we had

Sign and trade is still possible but losing that draft pick hurts that deals chances. Unless a third team is involved.

Morris yes, Dwight I’d like but I think he looks to cash in. This year did wonders to rebuild his reputation.

    Oh I didn’t know

Lakers still need guards so I wouldn't be shocked if they buy a 2nd round pick again.

Honestly, AB can go if he wants to. We won the chip without him and he wasn’t missed at any point.

Think about it this way, Schroeder is a non-idiot version of what the Lakers wanted Dion Waiters to be.

Why did they sign Waiters? Because before the shutdown no one had faith in Rondo

  • Nov 15, 2020

Who the hell going to pay Rondo 10 m or more. I think we can find a decent backup PG for cheap. Brandon Knight , Jeff Teague etc.... point guard easiest position to find.. a lot of little guys

I'd bring Waiters back too should we strike out on some guards we want. He showed flashes in a limited role with very little time to gel with the team. Give him a training camp and I think he'd be a great 7th 8th man off the bench.

I’d be more willing to give THT those minutes and have him develop truth be told. Both basically unknown on how they’ll do with the tram, Talen having been a rookie and Waiters just pretty much not playing much besides like 2 games lol

We live in a world where Javale McGee is a 3x NBA champ lol

  • Nov 15, 2020

We'll for sure take a look around at buying second round picks. Teams want cash this year due to COVID.

Trust our scouting team. No Ryan West though

  • Nov 15, 2020

Provided we bring back AB and KCP, this how the team looking like:

    AB / Schroder
    KCP / Caruso
James / Morris (might be interested to return on friendly deal)
    Davis / Kuzma
Howard (if he’s fine with taking a pay cut again) / McGee

Ain’t no team in the league better than us

  • Nov 15, 2020

If it’s Danny for Schroeder, then that’s a f***ing steal.
