I'll be 30 next year and my childhood feels like sooooooo long ago.

I'm still connected with my friends from middle and high school though.

just know them probably gonna be the group you going out with the most in your 30s/40s, but it makes going out and planning group events so much easier

lol i wish all these guys the best but they are so incredibly lost. it sucks because you have to go through such a tremendous amount of pain to realize that all of it was fake.

the school system, "friends", "love"... it's a financial mechanism once you hit a certain age. "friends" and "love" is for 19-23 year old girls and MAYBE if you're lucky as a guy you can experience it at 16-18 years old during the prom phase of life.

they really got everyone out here fighting over politics, gender, and hoarded wealth.

when really the key is to find inner peace, resilience, and prosperity by becoming your best self... and blocking out all the noise.

in my opinion all relationships are a decision you make every morning when you wake up. loyalty, respect, and taking pride in what you do is WAY more solidified & will bring way more longevity to your life than lowering your energy & finances running around with friends or falling into the love trap.

Ironically, I've only met up with some of them in person recently.

But we follow and talk with each other on social media a lot like on IG.

Many of them moved to different states cause they couldn't afford NJ anymore. A number of them moved to ATL, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Maryland, etc. A few moved to NYC and LA too because they wanted to live out their dreams.

So, we're sort of dispersed out but social media keeps us all informed about each other's lives lol.

Tbh one of the great things about modern technologies is having a place to “hang out” with your best friends virtually whether it’s like a group chat, discord, FaceTime, PS/Xbox parties or whatever medium you choose. I talk to my homies literally every day in our chats it keeps us close

@op may be one of your best songs yet man. Feel like we spend a lot of time talking about the youth and the issues that they face but not nearly enough time talking about late stage millennials and some of the ramifications of living in today’s world. Hyper competitiveness, not being able to supersede our predecessors thanks to the cards that were given to us, uncertainty about the future and how that impacts how we view interact with the world. It’s a lot on our shoulders man because really we’re next up on driving this thing.

All I can say is just enjoy the ride brother. I’m very blessed personally, but I would say universally at this age we’ve got to experience something that no other generation that proceeds us will ever get to see with that sweet spot in between the tech boom so our perspective will always be cherished. We’ve also got to see more of life than a lot of fallen friends and that’s what keeps me going every day. Cherish your loved ones and try to make the best out of this b**** if you breathing you’re doing something right

that’s fire bro. I think social media is one of the greatest gifts to humanity because of this. I see my dad talking to his homies from childhood every now and then simply cause social media, or advancements in technology, made them find each and they in their 60s lol
