There's some really cool stuff in there, some random things in there like Miles being introduced, the same age as Peter and they're both Spider-Man (prob in the old Spider-Man 4). They kill literally almost everyone but 6 people.
I think if done well it could've been pretty good but there's a lot that would've had to have been set up in other projects
Old Kang Dynasty script did
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SHeSUoN2ZM&t=16sA bit overstuffed but this sounds solid overall and even though not every idea lands for me, they planned to take risks but also this movie is a culmination of a build up from the past few years. I seriously worry about Doomsday in that regard
man the MCU is going out sad. hope Doomsday brings back the feeling, but right now it feels like a waste of one of marvel's most important villains
the weird thing about the MCU I'm realizing is they haven't really tackled a historically important marvel character yet. Like Thanos was a pretty throwaway character in the comics before the MCU decided to use him.
Having someone like doctor doom where there's years and years of history and stories etc to compare him against...it just seems like a gigantic risk to introduce all of that in a single movie anchored by stunt casting.

Thanos wasn't a throwaway character bro one of the most classic marvel comics is infinity guantlet that's why they decided to build him up as the big bad instead of like kang or Ultron. He was also featured in some marvel media prior to the mcu
Apparently Chris Claremont SPILLS EVERYTHING during this panel lmaoooo

Wolverine killing someone important
Psylocke but not Olivia Munn
Elizabeth Olsen back as a good Scarlet Witch

kinda but not really, infinity gauntlet wasn’t super well received when it came out and like in 2009 thanos was suuuuuuuuper niche - the only thing he really did in the 2000s was be a bit player in annihilation. he definitely wasn’t the same level as dr doom or green goblin or smth

the mcu waaaayyyyy made him more important. which shout out he’s way better of a character now. just people who were into comics before the mcu thought he was mostly cheesy and weird

From the MSS Reddit
X-Men Comic writer Chris Claremont did a panel at Huntsville Pop Culture Expo over the weekend, and he went on a strange rant about the Marvel Studios Avengers movies. He mentions characters that will apparently appear in Secret Wars, in a weirdly casual way as if he didn't know he wasn't supposed to discuss this. He claims the following:
RDJ will be playing several characters, including Iron Man
Chris Evans will play an evil/young Cap? Captain Hydra?
Elizabeth Olsen returning as a "Good" Scarlet Witch
Psylocke is coming back
"Wolverine's gonna kill somebody important"
Youtube video of the panel attached (info starts at 9:10). The video is also floating around social media. It's possible that he is misinformed, he does seem to be rambling, but the video does seem to be a legit livestream of the panel from the expo.

I mean its a reason they chose him to be the overarching villain. If he wasn't a great character they would've made it someone else

I love the comic creators cause they don't have investment in marvel PR so they'll just spill the beans when they feel like it
Who TF is wolverine is gonna kill thats important?
Prolly an avenger
Maybe hulk
If I was a comic book creator and marvel kept f***ing me in regards to my creations I would spoil their movies too
