i remember when ffh came out, i saw some reviewer say it was the best spider-man media they ever watched and since then i have become extremely skeptical to any reviewer who tries to hype up any spider-man media

they so clearly used the best spider-man media ever (spider-man 2) as the blueprint but they still couldn't get it right

I think genuinely logically he should just have less things he is supposed to be the every man not high maintenance . Because having less forces him to interact in daily activities where he can’t fully isolate from society like the poor . But I get it . Don’t necessarily need him at a laundry mat or literally walking into a little Caesar’s but spider man and Peter Parker as a character often can’t be socially distant and doesn’t want to in my opinion for me

I’ve accepted mcu can’t help themselves in that regard. They don’t understand the value of not being able to isolate from humanity with wealth or goods and what that means for the character . Hope to be wrong after I see it . The daily human interactions to me though are important for hero story not just the interactions with main reoccurring characters but random citizens of New York

Now this is a honest review and lofty claim

The crazy part is many of the people that constantly say best spider man film since raimi films or belittle them. Dont realize what made them so special and why. There are definite ways you could adapt that into modern times to work especially I liked the idea of post pandemic story or in his case everyone forgets you and you lose your Aunt. One of the core tenants to me should have been a small apartment , a simple life with less things. One of the most famous jokes from Raimi verse is his landlord and eventually having neighbors. Not having a crazy large apartment with a treadmill and in unit laundry but having to go to those communal spaces and interact with humanity. So he sees humanity in an organic way just like we do not just staged plot driven moments of "we are going to show societies reaction to spider man on tv or social media" but in person naturally as well in what felt like a living breathing world not just jumping from plot point to plot point ( one of my faults with Superman and many hero movies).

I am sure the movie will be solid . I am ready for a tale of grief especially while currently grieving. In this case avoid flashbacks since she wont return and we remember how Aunt May was. Ideally show how Peter gets into some form of community work, in addition to job to honor Aunt May. They forgot who peter parker was so use this as a chance to reintroduce his Peter Parker with the same values as Aunt May

I am so mixed on the spider tracker by Ned cause I wanted them to have a non spider man obsessed movie where they live their college lives. Also will Neds Magical powers be mentioned will he develop into something more. S*** he could in many ways be a secret villain
