No spoilers but is it worth it to watch at least for the after credits scene?
Haven’t seen it yet but reviews i have seen. People who don’t even like the movie say the post and after credits are fire so

1st one made me very curious about how this all connects to previous MCU stories.
2nd one was cool but a bit vague for me tbh

apparently the voice in the second one is Blade
Yeah i’ll talk more in depth with you when i see it obviously but i am worried that this film won’t balance out Chole’s vision with the MCU formula properly and that’s probably what is giving people mixed reactions
Had a feeling Chloe’s style wouldn’t mesh well with MCU. Just look at her past work
would change the world tbh
So…
waiting on the after credits scene. one second, typing out all my thoughts now.
but before the after credits scene starts, lemme just say that the post credits scene is f***ing fire

Lets gooooo need the review ASAP. Need the ktt2omato score too.
So okay, i have some mixed thoughts. I feel like this movie in the beginning was what i feared it would be but as it gradually went on it just got better and better. The first act is a mess in terms of pacing, editing, some character development. The absolute worst ways to set up these characters to me, they cut back and forth from past to present over and over, it feels so annoying…. The main character’s romance chemistry is 1/10 did not feel earned
Character motivations feel very understandable if not completely relatable
Specific characters make decisions that actually sincerely surprised me, Chole took risks, aside from one instance deaths left an impact on me
Despite what people say this very much feels like a MCU movie, Shang Chi feels less like a MCU movie in comparison and that very much was one.
I heard someone say that the villain was wack. Bro idk what the f*** movie they watched but i think they missed the point. Won’t say anything further because that involves spoilers.
Cinematography is outstanding, Some of the cgi is really mid but other moments it looks absolutely amazing. It’s inconsistent cgi tbh especially during post credits scene (oof) hope they fix that.
1st Act is a snooze fest but once it picks up, it really f***ing picks up and i started to really love it and get engaged more with the characters
At times the movie feels hallow and pretentious and at others it feels full of life and completely impactful. Man idk i just have mixed feelings overall. This really feels like a movie that could have been better but Chole and Marvel Studios both seem to get in the way of each other to make a true masterpiece, there’s a masterpiece in here somewhere.
List in order of who i thought was most likable/ and or compelling characters
Ikaris
Druig
Makkari (Wifey)
Phastos
Gilgamesh
Kingo
Thena
Sprite
Sersi
Ajak (the definition of a mid character)
My ranking (subject to change overtime)
Objectively - 6/10
Subjectively - 7/10
overall i had a positive experience with the movie. but i would be lying if i said that i would watch this again anytime soon.

Going Saturday. Was the Hiroshima thing as dumb as it sounds?

Absolutely not actually.
Which kinda disappointed me because i wanted to laugh hysterically but in the grand scheme of things it’s a good thing for the movie’s quality.
I will say this movie plays with a lot of ideas.
There’s a very good reason why the Eternals didn’t interfere in Infinity War, World Wars, etc.
I actually was impressed with the writing in terms of stuff like that.
Also the jokes in this movie CAN be kinda corny but man they actually kept it chill and most of the time when the movie was making jokes it felt more natural within the character’s dialogue. In the first act i feel it had moments where the jokes were really corny and obvious tho

I think this is gonna do decently well then with audiences. I’m pretty excited to see the scene with the giant dude in space. Looks like there’s some crazy shots.
Yeah, this wasn't as bad as reviews were putting it as. Nowhere near Iron Man 2 bad/Thor 2 boring. Not the best sure, but not amongst the worst
