An old-school Hollywood bidding war has erupted over “Die Alive,” a spec script written by and set to be directed by filmmaker Megan Park, with major studios and streamers—including Warner Bros., Sony, Universal, Apple, Amazon, and Netflix—vying for it despite no stars being attached.

Insiders who gave the script a read have called it “legit funny,” a comedy-drama compared to “Big Daddy” and “Stepmom” that follows a woman who discovers her older boyfriend has a wife and kids and is unexpectedly pulled into caring for them.
