On relisten the First half of Invincible is very well made technically, beats strong good vocals crisp sound etc, main issue is the songs just don’t particularly stand out, nothing extremely infectious/catchy overall
My god it falls off a cliff in the second half
Drab ballad after drab ballad, and they get cornier and more god complex each time culminating in his most cringe song of his career in Cry, what an embarassing song my god
Watching this MJ VERDICT on Netflix.
Gavin is such a f***ing liar.
If people really understood the Arvizo story they would just laugh, the same way the jury did.
For example, one of the major claims was kidnapping. Yet the defence produced receipt after receipt, of them going shopping, living with Janet's boyfriend for periods.
Another example is part of the kidnapping, MJ didn't allow them to know the time. I think Gavin forgot this when on the stand he told the jury MJ had bought him a watch.
The full story is just absolutely insane, if it were anyone else it would never have even gone to court.
I’m on episode 1. It’s feeling very slanted against MJ.
Look, was MJ a mentally healthy adult? No.
Was his interactions with children appropriate for societal norms and expectations? Absolutely not.
Was he a PDF? No, I genuinely don’t believe so. I originally did until I really decided to read up on the cases.
It doesn’t fit with a pathological profile of a pdf. This is a man who had very proud and public interactions and bonds with 1000s upon 1000s of children. You’re telling me out of all those opportunities and with all the leverage of stardom and finances in the world, the only two situations of serious accusations (I’m not even going to acknowledge the HBO doc) were extremely problematic and filled with opportunistic motivations by the parents. It makes no sense.
And on top of that, no child corn was ever found per the FBI.
The story of MJ is a real tragedy to me and this cloud hovering him was probably the death nail on top of other things he was mentally struggling with. Idk it’s just really sad.
Vindication Day June 13th 2005
21 years ago today
10 counts 4 lesser offence charges
1108 prior bad acts meant the 1993 allegations were included too
And none of it stood up to scrutiny
NOT GUILTY
If the other brothers worked with producers/writers as GOATED as Mike’s guys (like Quincy), I feel like they would’ve been way more successful. Jermaine worked with Stevie once and it was his best song.

Possibly but also Michael bought a lot to the room. Not sure the others could
i hate this pic. supposed to be a private and intimate moment of peace but of course it gets compromised.
one more chance is so underrated man. song always hurts my heart so much especially since it was the last official song he ever released.
17 years already today. I hope he sees from up there how much he is still loved. RIP forever goat

his death anniversary hitting me the hardest it ever has this year. the success of the movie and the resurgence of his legacy has made it feel like he's still here with us. f*** man, it still hurts so much.
HIStory Continues and Invincible are both available in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music now.
(and both album mixes sound absolutely f***ing terrible)
