Some people believe "transitioning" means getting SRS too (sex reassignment surgery) which is not the case... transitioning can mean simply changing pronouns, presenting as the gender, etc... Not saying you believe that, but people who don't know always think about the surgery aspect .

I can think of two cases of SRS being approved to someone under the age of 18. Otherwise the age req is 18 yrs old

transgender suicide rate without support is near 50% or higher if they don't receive support in transitioning. i'm not saying none of the other things you listed aren't a problem BUT bullying and s***ty people happens regardless of your situation. providing a potentially transgender child w/ support is the one factor you can control so i see no reason to not support them
