Just finished listening to the entire thing. Another very good project by Nas and Hit-Boy. This is not as nearly as bad as some of the people in the comments are making it out to be. I agree, it's not my favorite project that the duo made either, but it's still a worthy addition to their catalogue. "One Mic, One Gun" was trash though. I'm glad that it was reduced to just a bonus track.
On another note, it's amazing how sharp, clear, and precise that Nas' flow and delivery still is this late into this career. This nigga is sounding like he's still in his 20's and s*** lol, he's definitely in his 3rd prime.

One of the most technically sound MC's in the history of our culture.
His capabilities continue to stand the test of time.
Nas needs to move on from Hitboy
Kings Disease 3 was fye but we good now
I think the sound of KD and Magic are different enough
Unironically have gotten some good variety from hit boy that I didn't know he had tbh
Wish Eminem would take a page out of Nas book and get to sit down with a producer for a full album

I agree. I pretty much break it down like this:
The "King's Disease" series is the big budget albums that Nas and Hit-Boy wants to introduce to the mainstream audience.
The "Magic" series is the gritty underground projects, with that unpolished sound, that Nas wants to deliver to his longtime fans who been missing that mid-90's feeling.
Both series set out to achieve exactly what they needed to do.

And that should be Dre
And that should be Dre
Dre is washed, give me someone like Boi-1da instead
Dre is washed, give me someone like Boi-1da instead
Dre and Em have chemistry and could be in the same studio since they friends.

The original magic yeah I agree, I donāt think magic 2 is for people who want the old Nas, itās pretty much all trap beats
This def a grower. The production is unique on some of these joints.
Still not rocking with āEarvin Magic Johnsonā and the 21 savage song

Thereās maybe 2-3 songs that can be classified as trap and even thatās a stretch

Not trap songs, just trap drums
Not trap songs, just trap drums
Most of the songs donāt have trap drums or production

he also needs to not rap the way he does.
Dre is washed, give me someone like Boi-1da instead
super washed. it should be Alchemist tbh
Most of the songs donāt have trap drums or production
Really? Iāve only listened once and I felt like it was all trap beats, maybe Iām remembering it wrong
super washed. it should be Alchemist tbh
Overrated, and he made Stepdad with him. Let Dre handle it.
I love Earvin Magic Johnson but anyone else hear how the 808s totally clip and distort at points?
Itās kinda irking. Honestly I feel like the mixing on the Nas x HB albums has gotten progressively less polished
