I am reading a political book for school and is a tough book to read because of how it was written. Anybody have any ideas on how I should do this.

    • Audiobooks
    • Sparknotes/Video essay summary for high-level comprehension
    • Companion book explaining plot, context the book was written in, events in authors life that may have influenced book
    • Read “prequel books”. In general, you should really ease your way into difficult books. Starting off with the tough s*** is a recipe for failure tbh
    • Divide book if I get bored (200 pages? Bet! 25 pages a night)
    • Read book out of order for non-fiction books
    • Write down unfamiliar words/events. Throw em into ChatGPT or Google for quick explanations after I’m done reading.

Honestly, anything that forces me to be engaged and finish ASAP!

  • What book?

Google hard words and sentence types while you read

Literally look up the definitions and find them used in different sentences
