i always add loosies as bonus tracks to whatever album the session was closest to so i hear em in context

oh was it your personal addition? i swear i have the cd somewhere and it’s just regular tracklist so for a moment your post made me thought i was going crazy
i was just listening to cinnamon girl again and that little riff at the very end of the song before it cuts off always amazes me:

like you can tell right there in that little riff there is the start of the crazy long noisy jam to come of neil and the crazy horse s***
that riff sounds no nasty and evil - it has to be the raddest noisy riff ive heard in 1969 for a mainstream artist at least
i really wish he had made a song out of it and push the boundaries- maybe it’s because of things like this little riff the album feel so much ahead of 69 to me

Remember who did make a song with that outro?
Also the Stooges had some riffs to rival it that year
true but that one sounds like something out of the 90s scene to me
someone did???
you didnt read my post a while ago
about how Neils guitar style changed up for Everybody Knows after Joni Mitchell taught him some weird folk tunings. Kieth Richards and Jimmy Page were both influenced by him in turn and this riff was directly inspired by the outro from Cinnamon Girl;

Merely 30 years ahead of their time
Would consider Neil and Iggy equally influential on the 90s

not only did they steal but they were absolute c***s about licensing their own music
they undeniable stole the intro to Stairway off Spirit whom they toured with;

and then decades later they got all litigious when Waynes World wanted to use a few chords for this scene;

and i grew up confused about what Stairway To Heaven sounded like because Page wanted $100,000 for scene
somebody shouldve told them to use Spirits song instead as a big middle finger to Page since he fought so hard in court to prove it wasnt the same song.
sloppy, terrible tone, could be tighter rhythmically and worst of all has a legion of 12-15 year old kids who just discovered zep and claims he's the greatest guitar player they've heard
live that is
every live version of Since Ive Been Loving You ive heard has god level tone and is immaculately sloppy
his rhythm on the Stairway climax still gets me goin
true but not his fault about the kids. happens to every monster band.

that’s spirit thing i knew of but didn’t know how much a reach it was since it’s always up in the air but now you’re saying they toured together the coincidence sure is dead - like wow, what a bunch of lames
