brian invented multiple times music that is unheard of - there can’t be any acknowledgement that defies this

see you dont realize why jimmy page went full fuzz on that french pop jam earlier
why jeff beck and jimmy page were trying to out-scroch each other in the mid 60s
why the beatles were experimenting with indian drone scales
why every band in the 60s started doing social commentary and character critiques
why every british band stopped trying to sound american
why every band that hasnt bothered trying to be cool ever didnt try and be cool
could keep going
lowkey most influential band
i hope i can realize this some day

that french song is goat, that’s true
i appreciate this post tho
you have the same energy i have
will consider this all and try to dive deep kinks lore
who in 1977 was making record that sounded like this:
!https://youtu.be/EPSDiUL25JUcould fill thousands of pages of "who was making sounds like in 19"
Sparks, 10cc, Eno, Roxy and many more were making way crazier sounds in the 70s. This doesnt sound all that different from what they were doing like ten years prior.

i mean just gonna listen through all the 1964-1972 stuff that i already know, that I mostly first heard in like 2016. then had another round of going through that stuff in like 2019 when it grew on me more, now its time for another round where its looking like it will continue to grow
ive found that this "re digestion" process works a lot for me, taking a few years away from a major artist after the first few months when i can feel it not clicking 100% before coming back with a newer perspective and finishing up. sometimes repeating as it only continues to grow and grow for certain artists
I have noticed that when I first go through a discography and find their work to be very consistent, but nothing rising to my top tier, once i go back to them a few years later it will only continue to rise as i acquire more taste for it. then suddenly all the 8/10 songs turn into 9s and 10s. i can tell its probably gonna happen with elvis in a few years, probably Dylan too
sorry if not making complete sense im a bit tipsy
