Game already fading into irrelevancy. It was probably unfair to call it a Smash rival in the first place because this game is really no more than a cash grab.

yeah this game is dying fast right now, which is too bad because the mechanics are fun and devs are really responsive to feedback. its just obvious that this game was made on a really low budget so theres no polish to it, and their one netcode guy went on vacation after launch so there was no one to fix that either. i dont think anyone actually expected this to be a smash killer beyond just memes, but <200 players on steam and single digit twitch viewers is still way worse than i expected

devs are trying really hard to break into the competitive scene, so maybe a few high-value tournaments will bounce this game back and forth into relevancy

the fighting scene is already niche. hopefully the game does enough numbers and positive reception we get the voice over update and a few more content drops.

i still got hope for this one. it fills a very specific void and they have a lot of room to grow. they probably need to do more to tap into the casual audience.
