Debating between 3 houses and xenoblade 2, any recs between the 2 (or any other switch game minus animal crossing tbh)?
I'm generally a fan of JRPGs but haven't played other entries in either series.
Haven’t played XC2 but I can give my wholehearted recommendation for Three Houses. Went into it as a fire emblem newbie and it’s easily one of my favourite games on the system

xenoblade 2 is the better game imo
it's an open world JRPG without pausing to fight enemies

I was on the fence about Xenoblade 2 since it first came out. Bought it about 2 weeks ago. I’m 65 hours in and about half way through the story I think. Thoroughly enjoying it. Provides the challenge and immersion I’ve been looking for in a JRPG.
There is definitely a learning curve to the combat mechanics. I still don’t exactly have it down pat in terms of min/maxing builds n s***. But I never really care about things like that in any rpg. The combat will seem slow and unintuitive at first. But starts to open up and really get flowing

I put 230 hours into Xenoblade Chronicles 2. That should tell you everything I have to say on the matter.
Buy Xenoblade

both games are phenomenal and i would definitely recommend playing both at some point. ironically, fire emblem would probably be an easier game to pick up and just chill with. xenoblade is hyper anime and has an obscenely complex battle system but if youre able to really get into it youll love it. you dont need to play past entries for either series to start on the switch
Roller Coaster Tycoon Adventures has its issues but I am having so much fun building parks again
My friend Pedro never gets any mention but I like it. Fun little game
Guns Gore & Cannoli looks great too. anyone played it?

Bliss I bought tropical freeze
sd card won’t be here for another week probably but I archived Pokémon home and had the room!
Finished the main story in Astral Chain, that final boss fight was f***ing amazing
Took me exactly 30 hours to beat the game, more than I expected, so I'm really pleased with how much game time I got out of it. Don't know if I'll complete the epilogue missions in file 12 tho, I've read that they don't really add anything to the story and I've got a massive backlog of games waiting for me.
All in all, a great game - fantastic combat and gameplay, nice setting, amazing original soundtrack, very stylish game and the Legion design is really dope af.
The only drawbacks are the story and dialogue, which are kinda weak, IMO.
I'd rate it a 8.5 or 9/10, depending on how much you care about a strong storyline.
Guess it's on to AC: Rebel Collection next

Replay value is insane once you become elite at the game, but yeah file 12 is just endless missions, nothing storywise. Glad you enjoyed it bro, probably my favorite game of last year and in my top 10 Switch games, Platinum Games doesn't miss.

agree with both about Astral Chain
i hope they do more with the actual astral plane world in the DLC or a sequel
also wish the game was a little more open world, very tight areas made the game feel too linear at times
and as far as story goes i thought their dad was still alive somewhere and we were gonna see him at the end

The director says he has ideas floating around, it's up to Nintendo but since it sold well I'm going to bet a sequel will happen.

in the near future Astral Chain IPO could be more valuable than Drakken/Nier
Platinum has those and Bayo already so why not just keep Astral going too since out of the 3 id say Astral's property and overall brand are the cleanest out of all Platinum franchises and we only have the first title lol

I'm afraid this is the end my friend.
Picked up BOTW @ Gamestop for $40 digital. Hopefully this becomes a nice timesink for the days ahead.
Tried ARMS as well an it didn't click. Something is missing.

It’s a game with a great character design, music, and overall idea but it does lack a little in execution even though I do like the game myself.
