canceled my pre order on outer worlds. 1.because it still says delivery date pending the day before it comes out. 2. the controversy.
I hear there is a day 1 patch if it looks good I MIGHT cop digital but doubtful
side quests in xenoblade so far are uh, quantity over quality
hwooh so glad i didn't pull the trigger.

Game been out before Witcher influence but exploration and side quests have benefits in xenoblade , they not really useless and it’s easy to just collect all of them and do them while you’re out and about in the world.
The combat is fun as hell though

Side quests in xenoblade have always been pretty bad and most of them should only be done passively unless you need to grind xp or area affinity
However, if u run into quests about Nopon pollen orbs, make sure they get done - the quest chain can expire after a certain point and the payoff is well worth it
Definitely copping Club House Games tomorrow, me and my girl will have fun playing that.
Might have to cop Outer Worlds though too
It looks bad but I love portability. Especially when you share a TV with a significant other lol

i've mostly been doing them passively so it hasn't detracted too much from the overall experience
i just remember hearing great things about them, but looking back those might have been a reference to x rather than this one

its still very much worth the purchase don't get me wrong

yeah that sounds about right, people have b****ed about XC1's sidequests since day 1 and i've heard lots of praise for X too.
the thing with X is that it has a ton more sidequests and most of them are still dumb fetchquests, but the quantity of it all means that there are also a lot more worthwhile sidequests if you go look for them. plus a lot of the sidequests go hand-in-hand with exploration, which they really doubled down on in XCX at the expense of story

i might try out x on cemu after future connected since i'm still on the border about 2
also, whats different from the gameplay in this and the other 2 games? cause personally i love the ether gem system. like rn i'm trying to make shulk's passive attacking a lot better
between that + customizing/leveling up your arts and the skill tree the character building is really satisfying
affinity confuses tf out of me though

affinity in xc1 i think just affects chain attack continuation % and skill linking, its not something you have to actively think about too much but the higher it is, the better
the gameplay systems between XC games are almost incomparable tbh i wouldnt even know where to begin, but if you like the customization elements youll probably like XCX since the customization options are on a whole other level. to scratch the surface of it, you got a class progression system where each class can use a different ranged and melee weapon type, each weapon type has its own set of arts, and eventually you can start mixing from different classes for all sorts of skill and art combos. you got a whole other side of combat with all new arts in skell/mech combat too, and the gem system still kinda exists in the form of augments.
as for XC2 just peep this video guide about the combat system if youre curious and you'll see within the first two seconds how different it is from XC1 (and X)

Club House Games downloading, bout to be a lit ass quarantine Friday tomorrow with the gf lol
apparently Xenoblade DE is a lot more fun if you only do the side quests that you come across, and if you purposefully try to complete everything it only ends up making the game feel mundane and outdated
