A Pokémon MOBA? TPC lucky they got Sword and Shield DLC and a new Pokémon Snap on the way. I mean Pokémon Unite doesn't look horrible but still - they know dang well that wasn't what people waited a week for.

How confident are you that we'll get a big upgrade w/ graphics, a shift in the gameplay or a more challenging game for Gen 9? Game Freak has been so stagnant lately and I want to have faith & hope for the best, I just don't know

i dont think fans are understanding of the jump between Gen 7 and Gen 8 and GameFreak's lack of experience with a modern game

but that's not to say they failed completely and now they just need to do better

Sw/Sh looks the way it does because of optimization, any better visually and it would've been running at 15-20fps

GF just didn't know how to dev for bigger consoles but they do now

Lately? As someone who ain't a big Pokemon game fan like that (last game I played was Pearl) from the outside looking in, s*** looks like it has barely changed at all. I see that gimmick of Godzilla sized Pokemon n that's it Been like 20 years n barely any innovation

That's why I said outside looking in. To a less than casual pokemon fan like me, it don't look like many ground breaking changes have been made to the game. Even graphically, (I am 100% not a graphics guy), are s***ty.

yeah but its angering because if they just outsourced some of the coding they could've made a decent game instead of hoarding their billions

yeah but asking GF to outsource Pokemon is one of the biggest asks ever, even though i totally agree..

they outsource pokemon all the time just not main games, a little help would do them worlds of good

just imagine if there was someone working there who was actually passionate about the gameplay and not just making cute 3d models

i totally agree and maybe they will this time around, maybe they didn't expect it to be so difficult to finish with the allotted time and they'd never admit that, rather do better next time which means take 1 year off and outsource, hopefully :)

but i can't describe how dissapointing S/S was to me, i didn't play the sun gen but i played like almost every pokemon and spin off growing up

XD and collosseum are beeter mainline games than S/S to me

not about to rant about it tho i think we all know

it just seems like every iterations gets further from what i liked, from exploration and adventuring as a kid to trite story
