Btw i love the hypocrisy of nintendo/gaming fans lmaooo when it comes to ports of games they dont care they say s*** like "Nintendo has no games" but they keep asking for metroid prime trilogy and zelda wind waker & twilight princess
Ports of gsmes not many have played are always good so these games wont die in a overpriced underselling console. You can argue about the pricing of course
They built up an insanely strong brand and legacy over 35 years and so can cash in on the brand capital they built.
Look what happened if you don’t put in the work for your IP, I‘m looking at you Crash. It’s not able to survive at $60, even after the great reception of Insane Trilogy.
Here yall have it fake ass zelda fans
What ill say about this matter is: if controls are done right, if you havent played it absolutely get skyward sword when it gets a discount on black friday/holidays. Its not worth 60$, especially since super mario galaxy was sold for virtually 20$, but its a great game nontheless
You better believe Nintendo will have a Zelda 35th anniversary blowout sooner or later this year. Probably after Mario dies on March 31st. Remember that they were filing a bunch of trademarks related to a bunch of Zelda-related celebration items, not just software, and they did the exact same thing before Mario's 35th anniversary. Just a matter of time. Let Mario shine throughout March as well, and after that we switch the focus.
Splatoon 3 literally the second best announcement I could get after BotW 2, so I am happy with that even if I didn't get to see the one game I wanted to see the most. My only gripe is that Splatoon 3 won't come out until 2022, so it's kinda far away, but still excited to know they are working on it. Looked great.

Yeah exactly, IMO they announced skyward sword now because aonuma HAD TO give an update on botw 2 and since they didnt have anything to show he said "heres a sneak peek to the 35th anniversary of zelda" and gave us skyward sword as a consolation prize
Also, they didnt give any info on hyrule warriors dlc and it comes out on may so a april/may zelda direct is 100% happening

Exactly. They knew they had to give us something so that we wouldn't die while waiting for BotW 2 news
Skyward sword is probably gonna get the treatment Mario Galaxy had: they reworked the code and will be 1080p 60fps. I hope people can choose the way they want to play it tho
The issue with Skyward Sword isn’t Skyward Sword
It’s that they’re charging $60 for this
If this was in a collection with TP and Windwaker, I think everyone would have no issues with the $60
Unless Nintendo is gonna surprise us with SS being apart of an HD collection, this is a total ripoff

I can guarantee you that if it was Twilight princess nobody would bat an eye, but im basing this on public perception on Twitter lol. But i agree that it should've been a collection, i would've gladly bought it that way
Plugging some skyward sword fire ost just cause i can
You really love SS huh, I respect it

Links Awakening is $60 and that’s a Gameboy port. Very unrealistic to think Nintendo would charge less than full price for any Zelda game, their most prestigious franchise.
i wonder if splatoon 3 was meant for late 2021 but got delayed to 2022 because of covid
Gotta counter the SS hate somehow
Yeah the hate is excessive, it’s for the younger audience that may have never played it during Wii era. The more I think about it I’m probably gonna buy it, the added motion control for the shield is pretty neat and the ability to play in handheld mode to switch up the gameplay is gonna bring a whole new experience. It would’ve been a day 1 cop but the joycons are a higher priority.
hot take: the only 3d zelda i've enjoyed is botw (and hyrule warriors but thats different)
i wanna try wind waker tho
The project triangle strategy demo is great, im loving everything about it
If the story is good this could end up being one of the best jrpgs on switch

Those joycons are so cool
