so far so good

Nearly done, very solid first listen

Immediate impression and elephant in the room is that it’s a tough length to swallow, and the stretch from Haircut to 23 got particularly slow. But god damn the highs are high and he’s clearly evolving well from Stick Season both sound-wise and in context of the big follow up.

Favorites so far are Doors, American Cars, Paid Time Off, Deny Deny Deny, Headed North, We Go Way Back, and Dan (listening now and it’s hitting)

The Great Divide has also really grown on me, some of the best lyrics on the album and easily the catchiest hook

I hope you settle down I hope you marry rich
