Hope this is better than the northman
Yea overall I liked the Northman, but it’s definitely not on the level of VVITCH or The Lighthouse.
It didn’t have that true Eggers weirdness, and it was too straight forward
But I know that probably was mostly because of studio interference, but I wanna see Eggers go all out again for Nosferatu
v nervous about lily she straight up does not seem good at acting .. but other than that my god this cast is stacked. bet emma will fit eggers' sensibilities super well
Guess I can't call him Heyits Thatguy anymore
watching the directors commentary for the northman was sad and funny as hell at the same time, he had maybe 3 positive things to say the whole 2 hours
I still love it tho

Does the similar with The Witch.
It’s kind of refreshing hearing a director be honest about what they think of their own work. Dig how humble he is.

So did he just not dig his own movie or what

Seems like he's a busy voice actor too. I heard him in the new FF trailer and was like "Oh yeah, that dude"
So did he just not dig his own movie or what
production was hell, everything that could've gone wrong pretty much went wrong, only scene he was really proud of was when they raided the village

Dang not even the world tree sequence
probably my favorite segment

S*** movie. He real for that
Excited for this. Loved Lighthouse
More than a year before the SoFi show, Depp was asked to audition for the role of Jocelyn. “I never thought I would get the part,” she said, calling from Prague, where she was on set for her new film Nosferatu, in which she plays the disciple of Dracula—another sinister but seductive man.

Dude has to be compete with Herzog
Herzogs has some cool elements but is pretty goofy. Hes gotta top Murnau first.

I get the original's a classic and s*** but aside from a few iconic shots it's a pretty boring movie

The intertitles are pretty hardcore but aside from being very iconic yeah it's bottom tier Murnau
