I’m not a Drake stan (if I was I wouldn’t be bumping this new Ross and loving it like I am rn and I wouldn’t think GNX is a classic which I do) and I don’t hate elitists I love being elitist, I hate the minds of basic niggas

The real ones give credit where credit it is due to whoever is deserving and get called stans by the real Stans

  • You gotta have certain IQ to listen to DRAKE

Drake is a great and skilled rapper... Kendrick is just better

Drake is a great and skilled rapper... Kendrick is just better

That’s not a bad take at all

I personally think they are both better than the other in different categories and whoever the listener chooses as “best” between the two depends on what they value personally

Same thing with Jay and Nas depending on what you value you might think either is better than the other

The thing I don’t respect is not acknowledging both are elite and calling one garbage just because they don’t do what the other one does, that be the lame s***

I can respect that take. But Drake is the better overall artist and makes way better MUSIC imo.

It's not the rapping I don't like it's the bitter crybaby energy

My main issue with Iceman is that it's mostly dedicated to the beef. Most people have moved on from it by the time it came it out. Songs like National Treasure should be an all time Drake classic, but it's bars are dedicated to Demar DeRozan which over time loses it's replay appeal

The music is too good for me, to factor in the bars that much.

But I'm not american / an English native speaker, so maybe that's why it matters to me less.

Man had a slam dunk with Janice STFU but tried his best to ruin that with the weak ass Kendrick subs on the last verse

Respectfully it’s his first rap album since the beef which was easily the biggest beef in rap history

He had the whole world calling him a Pedo and his ex crip walking on his grave on one of the most viewed Superbowl performances in history

To expect him to rap about something else is absurd

I can acknowledge the skill but for me it’s the lack of passionate delivery

I was hoping he would just take the L and move on instead of continuing to play the victim for an entire album. like that saying goes; if you run into an a****** in the morning hes an a******. if all you do is run into a******s all day then youre probably the a******. if there was even a hint of him owning up to whatever behaviour made half his old collaborators turn on him it would be more interesting to me.

thankfully Maid Of Honor had the energy I was looking for.

Iceman - Great album from an incredible rapper, underrated rapper IMO. People who suggest that "drake shouldn't have respond to the beef on the album, and is playing victim" make no sense. His first offering(s) post beef, of course he's gonna spin.

I hate the persecution complex drake fans have however. Drake engaging in the beef, edging dot on, then acting like the entire world is against them is cringe.

Been two years and all we’ve gotten is people talking vaguely/cryptically. Tells me all I need to know.
