BabaláwoThis is false. Vader’s combat style ain’t flashy like Yoda, he prioritizes brute strength rather than finesse. Someone like Yoda uses Ataru lightsaber style, and Vader uses Djem So iirc. It is however horribly depicted in this scene with Obi Wan. Vader/Anakin was still considered like a top 3-5 duelist with a lightsaber in his era.
Lightsaber forms in general have been depicted poorly in all the new films. Lore wise it’s because it’s lost knowledge, but still the choreography has been piss poor
you watch this episode yet? what'd you make of the fight scene? after watching it i remembered the convo on lightsaber styles and how they SHOULD look with certain characters. seems a lot of people aren't familiar with all of that talk
they have no clue how to make any of the characters look good in these fights, imo. i saw from another poster who posted an IG screenshot - supposedly the guy in charge of vaders fight and combat scenes is some dude named "Tom"
"Tom" sucks ass at his job, lol. and if he's in charge of obi wan's presentation in the combat and fight scenes too, well thats why obi wan also has looked like utter s***

very disappointed in the reva vs vader fight. very bad choreography, and ill say it again, whoever is in the suit during these scenes looks like a cosplay darth vader. he went like the first 20 seconds of the fight just avoiding reva's saber attacks, and the way he was moving it looked like he was doing a dance routine. no lightsaber drawn, arms down at his sides like he was in the night club doing some goofy ass s*** on the dance floor.
thats not how vader fights or acts at all, ever. how could they mess that up so easily? that fight should have been so easy to coordinate and put together. doesnt take a lot to make a vader fight look good.
and why didnt he draw his own lightsaber? i wanna hear his iconic lightsaber sound, instead he refused almost like he was cocky and wanted to make a point that he can dodge s*** and pull some moves off even in that clunky ass suit i guess? nobody knows, and i dont think the writer of the show does either. they just said "yea that looks good" and left it in
vader isn't a showboating, cocky character. hes usually quite stoic, and he doesn't really show much emotion if at all. the few times he's "showed off" so to speak its been because he's making an example out of someone and choking them to death lol. its violent and intimidating as hell. this whole fight just seemed like he was full of himself. between the force pushes and other force moves, and the tap dancing routine
cant blame the actors or stuntmen 100%, theirs supposed to be someone there giving guidance on how they should be moving and what looks legitimate and what looks phony as hell. they need to call up ray park lol. thats why the fights in the older movies were usually all very well received and praised.
this vader simply doesn't fight or move like vader. next thing hes gonna do a backflip or a corkscrew front flip and if that happens im shutting it off lol

i get it, the flashback showed that obi wan used anakins inexperience and lust for always wanting to attack and be victorious, against him. didn't use a weapon. the problem is that was what? 20 years ago.
so they mimicked that flashback and now its vader vs reva. imo, you save this flashback lesson and let it play out in the final episode when vader and obi wan fight for the last time until ANH.
will vader show his growth, or will obi wan be proven right yet again and turn back the clock 1 last time and get the upper hand on a prime vader despite being past his prime. pretty much, will the rematch from their ROTS fight play out with the same story (anakin/vader unable to really get past obi wans defense) or does it go down differently
involving reva really wasnt needed. dude shoulda just force choked her and threw her then sliced her up in 2 seconds once she came back for more. this flashback is between anakin and obi wan, not her.

Maybe I missed a scene or an misremembering, but they don’t know Leia is Leia, she’s just a Senator’s daughter.
The only reason they have any interest in Leia now is because they knew she would be with Kenobi now or wherever she was, Kenobi would be going to look her
I will say I forgot the reason she was kidnapped in the first place. Was Reva behind the kidnapping from the start? Did she know Bail would reach out to Kenobi for help? That seems unlikely but I forget how it was shown in the show.

One of my minor Sta4 awards critiques is that the way Vader and Anakin talks aren't the same. Like 2 different niggas despite being the same person like Tom Kavanagh vs Matt Letscher playing Thawne.
But when Vader said "I am what you made me" he sounded like Hayden. Much like the "she was alive i felt it" line from ROTS
