Hopefully the goat Vader come hard
And I hope people are at a consensus that the last scene of E2 was HARD as f***
I just don’t get why the inquisitors besides reva are so p****? Like why are u stopping her from killing anyone she wants that’s what the empire is known for
iirc scenes from New Hope imply they're still trying to maintain diplomatic relations and a modicum of pr
seeing this get a lot of love on social media and reviews
all I’m seeing on twitter is the complete opposite. just nothing but hate.
Mfs got nothing better to do than b**** and moan. At least wait til the season is out in full
I understand some of the frustration but there’s a lot more good than bad out of these two eps imo
Star Wars fanbase got to be one of the most annoying, if not the most annoying, of all time
try telling me its not just racism at this point
but its just because of the acting

oh yeah im not saying criticism on her character is always racism, that would just be stupid
but some of it definitely is

It’s kind of sad what they’re essentially doing is hiring people they can use as a crutch. If anyone has a critique of the writing or the acting or whatever it may be, they can pull out the “we resist” card. The biggest media monopoly in the world isn’t some reaction to power, they have nothing to resist. They are the empire and as everyone has pointed out they’ll conveniently cut a black man out of marketing in China — They don’t really have a leg to stand on with this rhetoric. This is manipulative nonsense and I wouldn’t even be surprised if it turned out those Instagram posts were from bots. These corporations rely on culture war discourse at this point, it’s a built in form of PR that they promote.

There's definitely a segment of fans/trolls who are racists. At the same time, she does come off as a diversity hire and her acting in the first two eps were bad.
Loads of other people of colour in SW are embraced by the fandom because their acting/character were great.

The last point needs to be reiterated.
Honestly it's 90% bad writing with Moses. The fact they wrote that same line in twice in different forms isn't her fault, and the fact that they wrote in that dumbass building-running scene where she doesn't even get close isn't her fault. Her character will take the brunt of the hatred though, because a character is the combination of acting and writing
I hope her character is written better in the episodes to come, because it does suck that all the hatred she's getting is going to be a. compounded on by actual racist people and b. the valid criticism is going to be written off as 'racist' when it really isn't

she does come off as a diversity hire
how? shes an emmy nominated actress lol

Such a shame that Disney is getting defensive and playing the diversity/racism card just to guard s***ty writing and acting.
This is literally the same thing Sony did with the backlash from the female Ghostbusters film by labelling everyone as a misogynist.

Her acting was downright bad regardless of whether she has an Emmy or not.

I don't have anything against diversity hire as long as the actor is good at their job.

we dont even know if they only auditioned black women for that role lol

How does somebody 'come off' as a diversity hire?
She had a great resume up to this point, she was great in Queen's Gambit and The Tragedy Of Macbeth
