Best part was dudes in the beginning asking if they’re from Detroit, they don’t play there
uploaded the entire 2002 Batches with gapless playback and higher dynamic range

That's some good posting right there

I had to fix and reupload because two beats were switched accidentally (12 & 13 from Vol. 4)
the artwork was done in the style of an album Dilla sampled a few times on the batches

That's a good question. This isn't some fan-made compilation of his 2002 work
This is the complete official series of batches Dilla dropped in 2002. Dilla introduced each batch like "Get Ready... Volume 4 !!"
All volumes are mixed by Dilla and also have a bunch of fun interludes and sketches.
It's likely that there are beats he made in 2002 that didn't show up on these volumes though, I'm not sure which those would be

thanks a lot for context, didnt know this existed and always figured theres not much to go back to aside from officially and well-known dilla releases (soulquarians, madlib, solo) and random compilations
I saw your thoughts on kano's partnership with dilla estate, do you think it's a good idea to buy that stuff to at least support the partnership and the estate?
