What made you say this lol
Just trying to make it as fair as possible. You know how I feel about limitations . Sometimes they’re needed and sometimes they don’t have to be as strict.
also be okay with swapping out jay for someone else if no resolve if @Vibe also cool with it
maybe Future
what happened to drake verzuz jay i've been out of the loop

That’s the one I’m trying to see tbh @coochieman .
I’ve always wondered who would win between those two.
@saveme
I forgot that there’s a song that you can use that’s a technicality lol f***
Give me a hint lol, Jada or X?
You talking about this?
What’s my muthafuckin name?!

This is why I brought up if I could use Swizz production because that’s the only connection outside of it being on a RR album.. I wouldn’t use this lol

His best work was already with the Ruff Ryders, unless you're tying to play Bring Em Out, Listen Baby or Spit Your Game.
You can't use Swizz like that or I'd be able to use Ye and it won't be fair. However, maybe we can switch the timeframe.
Unless it's on a Swizz Beatz project like Shyne was.
How about we make it to 2010 instead of 2005? That way you can include Good Love, It's Me B****es, Tambourine, My Drink n my 2 Step, Letter to Big, etc.
Doom vs Earl
gonna be very interesting
That's what the original plan was but @RocMarci went back to Madlib.
It could've been teacher vs. student like the Em vs 50 VZ

i've been seeing y'all put rules on other VZ to make it fair/factor out popularity, is there no way for you to put some rule that'd prevent a hypothetical Doom v Earl from turning into an Odd Future fest?

I'm very lenient with rules but I don't want this battle to turn into a Hov vs. DMX VZ. This is supposed to set everything up for the main event, which will be Hov vs. X and that's why I won't be using any Hov hits. I will be saving those for the main event. I wish there was and I know I'd be at a disadvantage if that happens but what could be done to change that? People are going to stan and vote for whatever they're familiar with. I just hope with the underground VZ is more of a "let me sample both songs and see which one I like more" instead of "Oh I know this song".

wait, i think we talking about 2 different things lol.
firstly, there's a Hov DMX VZ? sounds f***ing dope, why can't you use Hov hits for that? i feel like DMX had a lotta raise the roof tracks that could easily sway a VZ, but Hov had the way more consistent catalogue but he had his fair share of hits too, but dude really shined in the way he constructed his albums. i don't think i've seen a hip hop dude with a stretch like he had from Reasonable Doubt to the Black Album. 8 consistent albums (and the late career recovery too), hard to convey in a VZ but i know you got it.
and secondly, were you referring to Doom v Earl as the build up to main event? i think i got lost there. i was talking about how you could make the Doom v Earl less hit based and more lyrics/production based.

oh, there's another VZ involving Jigga before the DMX VZ? did i get that right?
@op me and @sizzabella would need a tuesday or thursday for 3 6 vz ugk

Yeah, so me and @saveme are doing the label VZ because there was always a rivalry between both camps and because a label battle hasn't been done yet. Then I realized while compiling my setlist that this would be a nice appetitizer for the main course HOV vs. DMX and I don't want to reuse songs, so I'm going to save the hits for that battle and just use a few Hov cuts for Rocafella vs. Ruff Ryders. Hov was the perfect balance of mainstream and streets. You seen rappers try this before but they would f*** up the mix so bad. That's why Fabolous and Jada never had a classic album but they had classic songs. That 8 album stretch (Blueprint 2 was good) was
and we still haven't seen any other mainstream rapper do the same. The second part of my post was about Doom vs. Earl. I want it to be more focused on the quality of the songs and not hits. That's why I hope there's more underground VZ in the future.
