I love the one hit wonder theme the most because it's not as predictable as the others. There's so many one hit wonders to choose from. The only theme I don't care about is lyricism, for obvious reasons.

These rules are not to restrict any of us. It's to make it more strategic, that adds to the fun and makes it less predictable. If we just play the biggest hits from so and so, it'll bore us and the participants. We need a twist. I've always looked at T.I. as a lyricist. I've never heard anyone call Juve, Trick Daddy or Project Pat lyricists. I don't even think they view themselves as lyrical rappers. When I think of Southern lyricists, Big Krit, Jay Electronica, Andre 3k, Killer Mike and Scarface are the first five that come to mind. It's subjective, I know.

It's a friendly competition too. Idc what anyone says. You're not having fun if you're getting blown out every round. The only thing that's upsetting is that you can play a fire ass song but if it's not a big hit it'll automatically get dismissed. That's why rounds that feature non-hits are the best because you're judging them solely on quality, not popularity.

That's different. In a decade VZ it's strictly about hits because it's more of a casual audience. If it's artist vs. artist you can get away with beautiful B-sides because the participants are most likely fans. The only way it can work with you and I is if we do artists that way there's no rules and you won't need clarification on genres, lyricism, one hit wonders, etc.

When Janet lost every single round she was featured in I knew that I dodged a bullet when I turned down Janet vs. Mariah. The love was nowhere to be found.
