I think letting things like that influence your feelings is a mind virus fueled by misery

im glad i never hated him! but i have a first hand experience of the some of the mental health issues he was most likely facing, so I always like got that. If i didnt and took everything he was doing at face value, I probably would hate him too!

I think maybe some people have realized how powerful controlled hatred can be and they use it as a tool to distract people and sway things in their favor

i think the internet threw gas on the flames with that issue and accelerated it a lot. but because so much information is available on the internet itll probably settle down a lot faster as well

but generally speaking unless somebody did something to you personally. if you have never met them, its not worth the energy of hating somebody over.

unless its something insane like a political leader committing genocide or something.

Like you can hate the thing that is happening that is wrong without targeted hatred towards people and then the loop would end. Powerful people want everyone to hate each other though

yeah i think so too. I think large coroportations and the governments they support realized how powerful the decentralized internet was for creating grassroots movements, independant business, free transfer of ideas that simply threatened to shake up the status quo. and

most of these people are older and technologically illiterate so it wasnt until the mid 2010s they acted.

then by like the late 2010s 90% of internet traffic was funneled through like 3 or 4 social media conglomerates who can control the information in exchange for other favours in the government.

and thats why the “brainwashing” happened

to their credit this worked pretty well. and wouldve worked 10X better if they started in the late 90s/early 2000s instead of 15-20 years later
