Imma be honest I’ve tried to listen to Coltrane casually and it just doesn’t hit, not sure if I am missing something. What makes you appreciate it?

what albums/songs did u spin? i love the wide array of tonal color he explores, he reminds me a lot of the beatles were he progresses really fast and none of his works sound the same
blue trane is so different and unique compared to interstellar space or his work on kind of blue
i love the aggressive approach he has to arranging and dynamics and it's all coated under the most beautiful tone and clarity on sax u could imagine
he also just plays a lot of standards and pieces i like which helps

My stylei think sun ra is so much more out there than most of coltrane tbh, that's way more impressive liking imo
