u kinda just pick it up as u go. youll try something you like and learn its a "indica rosin" and then youll recognize those, etc. probably similar to other consumables with varieties like coffee, wine, etc.

im p sure its like live resin/rosin is pressed out of an actual flower vs typical distillate is like boiled or smthn and they add in additives

so the live resin/rosin is more pure to the actual flower

Stoner culture and terminology can be super lame and needlessly complicated

All you need to know is

THC: stuff that gets u high

CBD: mellows out the high, therapeutic for certain ailments

Distillate: pure THC used to make cheap cartridges and vapes

Resin: usually made from a specific flower, can be vaped or dabbed, much better high than distillate

Rosin: the really nice s*** made with nothing but flower, ice, water and pressure. Basically like vaping the actual flower

Terpenes: s*** that makes the highs from different strains actually feel different, also creates much of the flavor. Distillate doesn’t usually have natural terps, so you’re just getting a straight THC mallet to the head

Indica / sativa / hybrid: the different categories strains are sorted into. Indica is typically a more relaxed, sometimes sleepy body high. Sativa is more energetic and mental. Hybrid is a combo of both but can lean heavily in one direction or the other
