Kinda similar to why i wouldnt adopt an older dog too, i just cant set myself up for a heartbreak only a few years later. Even healthy dogs dont live long enough

I googled it and there is no rule against the president getting drunk. they can get drunk as much as they way. if an emergency happens and their drunk the power transfers to the vice president.
but if their alcohol abuse renders them incapable at performing the job at the level they’re expected obviously they can be impeached and removed.
