Haven't tried molly because I feel like my current capacity to enjoy things is already shaky, and I'm afraid that the molly recovery would send me down a spiral

Those first few drinks feel like a sunset on the beach
Then you hit the pocket and everything is right in the world for 2 hours
Then you start to lose the pocket, so you start drinking more
But by this point the negative effects of alcohol are already setting in and you're just compounding it
So you chase the dragon for the rest of the night until you're in a stupor
All of that to be said, I never became a real dyed in the wool alcoholic, never drank when i wasn't supposed to (outside of a few interviews / social things that I slammed a couple of shots before)
i only drank to blackout back then
i had to drink to be social and to go out and stuff
my college partyboi era was litty tho no regrets
