the avoidance and isolation only delays problems at best, and more often than not makes them worse. I know better than anyone how much easier said than done it is to change those patterns though.

same goes for the self-punishment. that, plus the avoidance and isolation, all create negative-feedback loops that just continue to reinforce themselves, both consciously and subconsciously

like I said before, I don't have any golden advice for you, but there are a few things that i've found that help keep me sane in those periods of my life, and those are basically just engaging in face to face socialization as much as possible, even when it's the last thing you wanna do, and also just being outside and getting some sun on your skin. and obviously sleep is extraordinarily important when it comes to this stuff.
