Brand-new Zelda games take ages to make so a remake could help fill the gap a bit. Plus it helps train employees to be familiar with dev tools.

OOT3D & MM3D won’t be available on NS2 unless they remaster those (I don’t see 3DS games being added to NSO).
Ocarina of Time HD could actually work just like how Luigi’s Mansion 2 was remastered for Switch
OOT3D is glorious visually, especially with the 3D effect

i feel like you could accomplish that with making an original game though instead of just playing it safe with a remake

but also this goes back to what i said about those games being fairly accessible, like both OoT and MM are both on the NSO service (although personally i wish they would bring virtual console back where you could just buy and own these games but i digress)

also unless theyre outsourcing remakes to other companies i feel like nintendo should already have a good grasp on the switch 2s hardware lol

botw and totk added voice acting the universal response is it’s better now most modern adventures and rpgs have voice acting (except pokemon, and it’s constantly criticized for not having it lol)

I meant more for newer less-experienced employees
But it helps veteran workers get up to speed on new development hardware too, like Naughty Dog justifying the Uncharted & TLOU1 re-releases on PS5.

It’s unfortunate cus a remake/remaster would make MP2 way better than the original GCN version. Even in the Wii version they improved it by making the difficulty less frustrating.
