In a world where we have bajillion side-scrollers thanks to indies, Yoshi looks slightly below average tbh.
Plus it’s gonna be $70; that’s a tough pill to swallow especially after Silksong was only $20 at launch.
It’s $60 but still, you can only buy indie games if you want or wait and get it on the resale market if $60 is too much, I don’t see the issue
We’ve only really seen one level of the Yoshi game and it already seems to have more depth and discovery than 95% of AAA slop anyways
Yoshi needs to go 3D
This looks pretty mid unfortunately

Yoshi’s 3D Island for Switch 2 would go so hard
You’d be able to use gyro or mouse controls for tongue aiming & egg throwing
They'll just post trailers or game specific directs on nintendo today atp. As long as i get to see duskbloods, fire emblem and splatty before that summer direct im good
I need that summer release for fire emblem
expecting it to get its own showcase as well
This has worked out for me in the past lol I had purchased Let’s Go Eevee without the case because it was like 20$ and then purchased the case for like 5$.
okay i understand now i just got Arceus go $30 but its in a gamestop preowned case
definitely will buy a case at some po mt

When I was younger I didn’t really care, but now that I have games I enjoy showing off, especially the alternative inner art, I def like having the actual case.
Yoshi file size is 2.5x bigger than DK Bananza
we’re getting an epic masterpiece
Mp4 is 25gb on switch 1 (bigger than totk) and it was a 15 hour campaign. Im sure its mainly the textures contributing to the size, maybe there's a lot of fmvs too

Why did I think you were talking about Mario party 4
Damn, i might buy Elden Ring again just for the sake of it. I wonder if this will include the DLC.
this is like yoshis island on crack wtf
probably my favourite game ever

I’m not holding my breath but what if we got something akin to bowsers fury? A sick little yoshi “open world” game.

It has everything, they even added some classes and torrent skins (these got added after the announcement on other platforms too iirc)

Because we NEED the gamecube mario party games on nso

That’s a game with a huge 3d world buddy
why would a sidescroller have as many textures as a massive 3d world

Zelda is too, an open world with 3 fully explorable layers at that. Its 10 times the size but half the storage. Im not saying its gonna be a small game, but filesize for Nintendo games specifically isnt evidence for anything. Its also the lowest priced switch 2 game after drag & drive
Im more interested in the quality of the game rather than the amount of content really. If It really is good feel as one would expect, im a bit wary, but oh well, it wouldnt be the first Yoshi game i skip, this series after Yoshi's island is clearly not for me

I think them reusing the map and engine from botw was why that game was so well optimized, it’s insane that it’s only 16GB

I’m optimistic, it doesn’t look like wooly world or crafted world at all, and the discovery mechanic could have a lot of depth if the game is actually long like I’m thinking it will be
