If 3rd party don’t learn from this that Nintendo fans prefer physical, my Switch 2 collection is gonna be small this generation

Never played a Hitman game before. The games look dope af and have heard nothing but good things about the games. If the trilogy was fully on cart, I would have bought it

I had interest on at least 10+ of the 3rd party games that came out on launch. But because most were game key card releases, I didn’t buy them

Some of these are also very late ports at premium pricing, and not even that impressive as ports. Cyberpunk is content complete, the most impressive port technically and the most premium looking game, it was even marketed as the main single player game to get by Nintendo. I dont get why sega decided to drop Yakuza 0 instead of RGG 8 if they really wanted a RGG release for example.
I wonder how street fighter did, probably the best treated 3rd party release after cyberpunk

After putting ~15 hours in, I can say it’s a great buy for the switch 2. Must have if you are interested in playing it and don’t have it on any other platforms

To add to this, ofc Mario kart being the main Nintendo title releasing, with its cost, position as a bundle and series popularity, it probably overshadowed everything else. Not that comparable, but if ps5 dropped with gta 6 in addition to everything else, the result wouldve been the same

1 looks and feels great on switch 2

2 they really didn't outdo the guardians with anything in totk. phantom ganon doesn't compare

the fact that the guardians can just spot you in the air a football field away is just brazy

Yeah, I was definitely missing the guardians when playing Tears of the Kingdom. They really added an intensity and a lil' fear factor to the otherwise peaceful over-world when you heard those freaky piano keys start playing and suddenly have a red dot on your forehead

I played it when I was kid (still have the physical copy too lol), but yeah similar to you, when I tried to replay it later in life, definitely doesn’t hit the same

mp4 shadow dropping in late June would be insanely hype, it always felt like it was supposed to be a launch title but a few weeks off is close enough

the more I replay botw, the more I realize I don’t want to pick up totk when I’m done. this game is just perfect, totk has way too much going on for me
