So I just got one of these as a gift. It looks and feels amazing. Really nice console overall. That said, I can’t even lie, I would have been kinda disappointed if I had bought this myself. There’s not a whole lot here right now. On the bright side, I can justify getting Xenoblade chronicles X now

Understandable. This early on we only have Mario Kart (World) and Switch 1/GameCube games, but in time new Switch 2 exclusives will be announced and released. Donkey Kong Bananza comes out this week on Thursday so that's got some folks going bananas. I've never cared much for DK but I might check it out. What I really want is the next major Zelda or Mario.

Might check out that DK as well. I need a new Pikmin game badly. I’ll even take a Pikmin 4 deluxe

Yeah i can see metroid prime 4 getting finally a release date in the direct. I personally also hope to see more of Kirby air riders, switch 2 patches of switch 1 games (xenoblade in particular) and a new announcement.
About third parties, nate is saying Nintendo is gonna choose when to announce them. Like ive said before the console was even announced, i think the first few years we'll see a lot more ports than new releases simply because they'd be competing with eachother otherwise. So i don't expect major new third party announcements there

true but there’s also quite a few exciting third parties coming that could get trailers or release dates in this direct like silksong, professor layton, duskbloods, hades 2 etc.

I’m wondering what third party announcements would make sense on switch 2, like can something like gta 6 really run on switch 2? It’s gonna run on series S which has equivalent specs… so…
